Progress rubric
A rubric that mirrors the driving-test syllabus — score skills 1–5 in seconds, see a learner’s test-ready percentage, and watch the time-to-test estimate move as they improve.
What's included
- Every test-aligned skill listed — no spreadsheet to maintain
- Score 1–5 with optional notes; tap-fast in-car
- Test-ready % rolls up from individual skill confidence
- Time-to-test estimate based on skill velocity
- Per-student progression chart over the package
- Skill taxonomy customisable on Pro and above
How to score a lesson on the progress rubric
- 1
Open the lesson
After (or during) a lesson, open it from the calendar or the in-car app. The student’s last 3 lessons appear so you can see direction of travel.
- 2
Score the skills practiced
Tap a skill, slide 1–5. Add an optional note. The rubric remembers which skills were focused on so you don’t re-score everything every time.
- 3
Save
On save, the test-ready % and time-to-test estimate update. The student sees a clean progress chart in their portal.
FAQ
Can I customise the rubric?
Yes on Pro, Team, and Scale tiers — you can tweak the skill taxonomy and notes prompts. Starter ships with the canonical test-aligned rubric ready to go.
Is it actually faster than paper?
Most ADIs score 5 lessons in under a minute. The slider + skill memory means you don’t re-pick from scratch each time.
How accurate is the time-to-test estimate?
It is a heuristic, not a guarantee — the estimate is based on the student’s skill velocity over their last 5 lessons. Use it as a conversation prompt, not a contract.
