What's at cost
Three pay-as-you-use add-ons that aren't bundled into the subscription. Use them or don't — your subscription fee doesn't change either way.
- SMS messaging — billed at cost (~£0.04/msg in the UK), only used when you opt in. Email notifications are always included.
- Webpage imports — paste your existing site URL and Passdesk extracts your lesson packages (and your About / Contact text the same way). First 5 imports per school are free; £5 buys a 10-pack of additional imports; packs never expire. Manual product entry is always free.
- Recording mile top-ups — each user — instructor or learner — gets 50 free recording miles for life. After that, £4.99 buys a 50-mile top-up pack per user; packs never expire. Drawing or uploading routes (no recording) is always free.

Is there a free trial?
Yes — 30 days for schools, 7 days for solo learners. A card is required at signup (verified by Stripe; no charge during the trial). Cancel any time before the trial ends and you will not be billed.
Do you charge per instructor or per workspace?
Schools pay per workspace per month — the price covers all instructors and students up to the tier cap (Starter: 50 students / 3 staff; Pro: 200 students / 10 staff; Team: 500 students / 20 staff; Scale: unlimited). You only pay one subscription regardless of how many people use it.
Are there any setup fees or hidden costs?
No setup fees, no per-user charges, no usage minimums. The three pay-as-you-use add-ons are SMS messaging (billed at cost, ~£0.04/msg in the UK), webpage imports (5 free per school, then £5 per 10-pack), and recording mile top-ups (50 free per person — instructor or learner — lifetime, then £4.99 per 50-mile pack). Stripe processing fees apply on lesson payments at Stripe's published rate (1.5% + 20p for UK cards). Email is always included.
Can I switch tiers later?
Yes, any time. Upgrades take effect immediately and we pro-rate your billing. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle. No tier change resets your data — students, lessons, payments and rubric history stay intact.
What happens if I cancel?
You stay active until the end of your current billing month, then your workspace is archived. You can export every record (students, payments, rubric, theory, schedule) at any time before the end date — your data comes with you.
Can I save with annual billing?
Yes — annual billing on Starter / Pro / Team / Scale gets you 2 months free (toggle the billing frequency on the pricing table). Solo stays monthly because the goal is for you to pass and stop paying.
